| The Global Forum is primarily set - up to ensure that Voluntary
Spiritual Healers can continue to practice , without becoming embroiled
with an expensive set - up, which seemingly is proposed in certain
quarters. The Global Forum is made up of associated Spiritual Healing Organisations / Groups ; many of their members work to a religious affiliation , this being the right of each individual. For many years the Voluntary Spiritual Healer has provided a service free of charge to many individuals - this must continue. The Golbal Forum is familiar with the House of Lords Report on Complementary & Alternative Medicine , and also the response by Government to the Report. Spiritual Healing was put into Group 2 as a probable. The mainthrust of the report talks about Integration with Conventional Medicine. TheGlobal Forum recognises that there arer some Spiritual Healers who will wish to follow that route, but their training will be vastly different, to that of the Voluntary Spiritual Healer. There may be some within the organisations / Groups associated with the Global Forum and routes will be available , for example , the British Complementary Medicine Association , the Institute for Complementary Medicine, and the Global Forum has dialogue with them. There must be at least a two - tier system. Organisations / Groups becoming associated with the Global Forum , already have the necessary procedures in operation , with regard to Voluntary Self - regulation , it also has set - up a Central Database of practitioner members registered by the Organisations / Groups associated with the Forum. There is also a Block Scheme of Professional Indemnity Insurance , which includes a legal package. Indemnity is for 2 million per practitioner , it is said that it is one of the best schemes in the UK for Spiritual Healers. All this complies with Government concern to protect the public. Many Voluntary Spiritual Healers feel threatened , feeling like giving up at this present time , but this must be resolved , for they play a very important part within society .
